It's Friday Cocktail Time!! Christmas Sangria Edition!

Happy Friday mommas!! I missed you girls last week! I was mega sick with the nasty flu/strep throat stuff that's going around last Friday, and believe it or not alcohol was the last thing on my mind! ;)  Who knows what it is but it sure is MISERABLE.  Yuck.  Anyhow, I'm finally better now (for the most part!) and ready for Friday Cocktail Time! YAY!

It's such a busy time of year, and I'm sure all you mommas are feeling that holiday rush right about now just like I am.  Well I'm here to check one thing off your list....your signature holiday drink.  Super easy to mix up a whole pitcher of it for a crowd.  Plus, it's crisp and tart, colorful and delicious.  Plus, it's light enough on the alcohol to where you won't be toasted for your evening with friends and family.  Hope you enjoy it mommas.

Side note: this is my last Friday Cocktail Time before Christmas! Don't forget to get your last-minute Christmas orders in before Wednesday (Dec 20th) in order to get them in time for Christmas. Deadline is Wednesday at 3:00 pm for delivery by Saturday (Dec 23rd).  Plus, as an extra special surprise, all orders over $25 will get a FREE Christmas surprise in their order! No code necessary!! Offer lasts from now through Christmas!

Now let's get to that recipe! ;) Cheers mommas and happy holidays from me to you!!

MOMMA MOJITO'S CHRISTMAS SANGRIA

(Makes enough for a pitcher!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of Chardonnay or whatever white wine you prefer!
  • 16 oz. White Grape Juice
  • 8 oz. Pomegranate Juice
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 bottle of Prosecco, Champagne, or Brut Sparkling Wine
  • Diced Granny Smith Apples
  • Fresh Cranberries
  • Pomegranate Seeds
  • Fresh Sage Leaves
  • Slices of Granny Smith Apples for Garnish

Directions:

In a large pitcher, pour the sugar in the bottom.  Next, pour in the Chardonnay, White Grape Juice, Pomegranate Juice, Diced Apples, Cranberries, Pomegranate Seeds, and Sage Leaves (sparingly--just a small handful).  Stir it all together until the sugar has dissolved.  Refrigerate for about 2 hours or overnight if you prefer.  To serve, place ice cubes halfway in glasses and pour the chilled sangria over the top to about 2/3 of the cup.  Then fill each glass with the Prosecco or Champagne (whichever you're using!) and then spoon some of the fruit into the glasses too.  Give each glass a slight stir and garnish with more sage leaves and a slice of apple.  Cheers and Happy Holidays!

real life here -- wrapping presents with a cocktail?? Ummm YES.

It's Friday Cocktail Time!! The Rudolph Edition!!

Hey mommas!! Happy Friday and Happy December 1st to ya!! I am so excited that December is finally here!! I love this time of year.  Everything is bright, warm, festive, and oh so cheery.  There is something so special and lively this time of year that I absolutely love.  As soon as Thanksgiving was over, I immediately put all my fall things away last weekend and decked my house out in full Christmas mode.  I absolutely love how it turned out.  It's warm, cozy, and oh so festive!! :)

Speaking of fun Christmas things, I have a very exciting product launching this next week!! Christmas Car Scents!!! These scents make your car smell ah-mazing and they are the cutest ever...Green Cactus ones decked out in pom-poms for Christmas and green Christmas trees also decked out in pom-poms for Christmas! To say I'm obsessed is an understatement! So definitely stay tuned for the the launch of those next week! I only have 20 total of these cuties so snag your favorite while you can and grab a couple for stocking stuffers too!

Since I have all things Christmas on the brain, I decided to mix up a Christmas cocktail that's just as yummy as it is pretty!!  I call it the Rudolph! It's sweet, crisp, citrusy, and has a great woodsy taste that's perfect for the season!  (by the way, my adorable reindeer cup is from Target--it's plastic, only $1.99, and comes in 4 cute designs!!) Mix up a couple for some friends this weekend and enjoy this first weekend of December!
