It's Friday Cocktail Time!! New Year's Edition!!

Hey mommas!!! It's our very last Friday Cocktail Time of 2017!!! Can you believe it?! 2017 has flown by so fast!  It's hard to believe that it's already over.  We have so much fun stuff planned though for 2018 that I have to say, I'm actually pretty excited to say adios to 2017.  2018 is going to be a fun year, I can already tell.

But one of my absolutely favorite things about New Year's Eve and New Year's Day is the time for reflection, celebration, and renewed focus and determination.  So with that said, here's a few of my reflections and accomplishments with Momma Mojito for 2017:

  • We increased our sales from 2016 to 2017 by almost 400%!! That's HUGE!!
  • We shipped fun and adorable products to 40 (!!!) states across the United States, plus lots of shipments to our Momma Mojito lovin' ladies down in Puerto Rico! That's up from just 5 states in 2016!! (We're shooting for all 50 in 2018!!!)
  • We got our feet wet in some local craft shows and festivals in Oklahoma, and absolutely LOVED getting the chance to meet some of you mommas!
  • We expanded our sales across 5 additional platforms on the web!
  • We signed on to bring a physical location of Momma Mojito to OKC coming in the spring of 2018!
  • We began wholesaling some of our tees thanks to popular demand!
  • We brought you over 35 Friday Cocktail Time Editions in 2017!
  • More than anything else, we realized that you mommas are lovin' the fun here at Momma Mojito just as much as we are...well almost....we DO have a lot of fun here at the Momma Mojito HQ! ;)

In 2018, we have lots more exciting things planned, but we don't want to spill the beans just yet!!  However,  I will tell you that we have an absolutely adorable Valentine's collection releasing next Friday so be on the lookout for that! There are some pieces that you will absolutely want to get your hands on, so get ready mommas!

In the meantime, thanks for following along with us in 2017 mommas! It really means the world to me that you all believe in my brand.  I have had so much fun sending out all of the products I know and love to your homes all across the country.  I am so grateful for each and every one of you.  Stick around with us for even more fun, fashion, and of course cocktails in 2018! :) So without any further ado, enjoy this super easy and festive New Year's Eve cocktail that's easy enough to make for an entire crowd--plus it's not too sweet so even the man in your life will love it too! Happy New Year and Cheers Mommas!! See you in 2018!!

MOMMA MOJITO'S CRANBERRY CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Cranberries (about 6 per champagne glass)
  • Cranberry Cocktail Juice
  • Brut Champagne

Directions:

In a champagne glass, place fresh cranberries in the bottom.  Pour the juice in until the cranberries are just covered.  Fill champagne to the top of the glass.  Do not stir.  If desired, place a festive paper straw or swizzle stick in the glass for fun but definitely not necessary.  You could even add a sprig or two of your favorite herb if you want--I recommend Rosemary, Thyme, or Sage for this time of year.  Cheers and Happy New Year Mommas!!

(PS, my New Year's accessories that are pictured above can be found at Target of course!)

Thanks so much to all of you for placing orders with us in 2017!! It's Friday Cocktail Time!! Christmas Sangria Edition!

Happy Friday mommas!! I missed you girls last week! I was mega sick with the nasty flu/strep throat stuff that's going around last Friday, and believe it or not alcohol was the last thing on my mind! ;)  Who knows what it is but it sure is MISERABLE.  Yuck.  Anyhow, I'm finally better now (for the most part!) and ready for Friday Cocktail Time! YAY!

It's such a busy time of year, and I'm sure all you mommas are feeling that holiday rush right about now just like I am.  Well I'm here to check one thing off your list....your signature holiday drink.  Super easy to mix up a whole pitcher of it for a crowd.  Plus, it's crisp and tart, colorful and delicious.  Plus, it's light enough on the alcohol to where you won't be toasted for your evening with friends and family.  Hope you enjoy it mommas.

Side note: this is my last Friday Cocktail Time before Christmas! Don't forget to get your last-minute Christmas orders in before Wednesday (Dec 20th) in order to get them in time for Christmas. Deadline is Wednesday at 3:00 pm for delivery by Saturday (Dec 23rd).  Plus, as an extra special surprise, all orders over $25 will get a FREE Christmas surprise in their order! No code necessary!! Offer lasts from now through Christmas!

Now let's get to that recipe! ;) Cheers mommas and happy holidays from me to you!!

MOMMA MOJITO'S CHRISTMAS SANGRIA

(Makes enough for a pitcher!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of Chardonnay or whatever white wine you prefer!
  • 16 oz. White Grape Juice
  • 8 oz. Pomegranate Juice
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 bottle of Prosecco, Champagne, or Brut Sparkling Wine
  • Diced Granny Smith Apples
  • Fresh Cranberries
  • Pomegranate Seeds
  • Fresh Sage Leaves
  • Slices of Granny Smith Apples for Garnish

Directions:

In a large pitcher, pour the sugar in the bottom.  Next, pour in the Chardonnay, White Grape Juice, Pomegranate Juice, Diced Apples, Cranberries, Pomegranate Seeds, and Sage Leaves (sparingly--just a small handful).  Stir it all together until the sugar has dissolved.  Refrigerate for about 2 hours or overnight if you prefer.  To serve, place ice cubes halfway in glasses and pour the chilled sangria over the top to about 2/3 of the cup.  Then fill each glass with the Prosecco or Champagne (whichever you're using!) and then spoon some of the fruit into the glasses too.  Give each glass a slight stir and garnish with more sage leaves and a slice of apple.  Cheers and Happy Holidays!

real life here -- wrapping presents with a cocktail?? Ummm YES.

Hey mommas!! Happy Friday and Happy December 1st to ya!! I am so excited that December is finally here!! I love this time of year.  Everything is bright, warm, festive, and oh so cheery.  There is something so special and lively this time of year that I absolutely love.  As soon as Thanksgiving was over, I immediately put all my fall things away last weekend and decked my house out in full Christmas mode.  I absolutely love how it turned out.  It's warm, cozy, and oh so festive!! :)

Speaking of fun Christmas things, I have a very exciting product launching this next week!! Christmas Car Scents!!! It's Friday Cocktail Time!! The Marooned Mule Edition!

IMG_5345.JPG

Happy Friday Mommas!! Can you believe Thanksgiving will be here next week??!!  Hard to believe it's already that time of year!!

We've been loading up the shop with all sorts of new goodies for the season! Seriously, have you seen all the pretties that have been coming in?  There are so many soft and cozy sweaters, sparkly jewels, adorable vests, the cutest hats, and so much more.  PLUS, we couldn't wait any longer to get the Christmas excitement going, so we released FOUR new Christmas arrivals today--2 adorable tees, a festive vest, and even a cozy blanket scarf....all in holiday prints that will get you excited for the season!  No grinch momma around here! :)

A few weeks ago, my little family and I were at this cajun restaurant in OKC that had a huge selection of all different kinds of Moscow Mules.  Now, we all know my love for a good mule goes a long way, but I do tend to stick to the traditional method of vodka, lime, and ginger beer.  However, their eclectic mix of mules got me thinking of interesting new versions.  So I decided to see if I could come up with something fitting for the season for a new mule, and what I discovered is equally delicious, satisfying, and has the perfect spiciness for the season!! The secret?? Captain Morgan's Jack-O-Blast!! It's the Pumpkin Spice Flavored Rum that we used a few weeks back for our Pirate PSL.  Yep, time to bust that baby out again and let's make a new kind of mule!!

Here it is mommas!! You're going to seriously love this delicious, seasonal cocktail!  It's the perfect blend of fall flavors. It's also great to serve for Thanksgiving cocktails for those people who don't feel like a glass of wine or beer but still want an adult beverage.  Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!! I am so grateful for each and every one of you sweet customers of mine.  Thank you for allowing me to be able to serve you all while being able to stay at home with my kiddos.  Thanks for shopping small instead of a big chain.  I can't wait to provide you all with wonderful holiday gifts this season for all the loved ones in your life! Wishing you a safe, relaxing, and delicious Thanksgiving with your sweet families!! :)

With so much love and gratefulness,

xo Momma Mojito
